The London Wellness Edit: My Favourite Healthy Restaurants, Matcha Spots and Lifestyle Stores

The London Wellness Edit: My Favourite Healthy Restaurants, Matcha Spots and Lifestyle Stores

There's a particular kind of woman this list is for. She trains in the morning. She works hard, eats well, and refuses to choose between feeling strong and living beautifully. She wants a matcha that's actually made properly, a lunch that doesn't blow her protein target, and a Saturday afternoon that includes both a Pilates session and an excellent flat white.

If that's you, welcome. This is the London wellness edit I share with my private clients when they ask me where I actually eat, drink, shop and reset between sessions. Save it, send it to a girlfriend, and use it the next time you have a free afternoon in West London and don't want to default to your usual.

The Best Matcha Spots in London I Actually Rate

Not all matcha is created equal. Most "matcha lattes" in London are sweetened powder masking poor quality green tea. These are the places I send clients when they want the real thing.

  • Blk Cab London, best matcha in London. The aesthetic does the work, and the matcha holds up.
  • Drink Tease, beautifully sourced matcha and a wider menu of considered drinks.
  • Jenki Matcha, probably the most matcha serious spot on this list. Real ritual.
  • Ralph's Coffee, the Ralph Lauren café. Solid matcha, and the vibe is everything.
  • Café Kitsuné, Parisian-Japanese crossover, a chic woman's morning staple.

London Smoothie Bars & Quick Resets

When you want a fast, clean refuel that still tastes good, these are my go-to London smoothie and juice spots.

  • Elevate Wellness UK, the closest London gets to a proper LA style wellness bar.
  • Avobar London, beyond the avocado fame, genuinely well composed protein bowls.
  • Drink Tease, a juice and smoothie programme as serious as their matcha.
  • Juice Baby UK, an honest cold pressed range with no hidden sugar.
  • Karve Club, a newer wellness space worth your time.

Healthy Restaurants in London That Don't Feel Restrictive

The biggest myth in healthy eating is that you have to live out of a Tupperware box. You don't, you just need the right places.

  • Avobar London, the salmon and avocado bowl is a regular for me.
  • Holy Carrot, plant-based without deprivation. I take clients here who "don't do vegan."
  • Daylesford Farm, organic and beautifully sourced. Worth a slow Saturday lunch.
  • Farmer J, protein, vegetables and flavour in 15 minutes.
  • Farm Girl Café, the Notting Hill favourite, with a properly considered menu.
  • Raw Press Co, cold-pressed juice plus a small, excellent food menu.
  • Ottolenghi Restaurants, high vegetable content, excellent protein, deeply flavoured.
  • Granger & Co, a long-standing favourite. Eggs benedict with extra salmon is my chic-woman dirty secret.

When You Want Something Sweet (Without Paying For It)

Makers London, sugar free, seed oil free, refined wheat free and dairy free desserts that don't taste like a compromise. Try the gut-healthy marshmallow.

London Lifestyle Stores Worth Visiting

  • The Row, quiet luxury at its most thoughtful. Walk through even if you're not buying.
  • Realisation Par, probably the most beautifully designed store in London. There's a photo booth inside.
  • Abuelo Café UK, retro 70s interior, excellent coffee, and the kind of place you stay longer than planned.

How to Use This London Wellness Edit

Make it your default. When you have a free hour, don't go to the nearest Pret, pick something here.

Use it socially. Date nights and friend catch-ups stop being about negotiating "places I want to go" versus "places that don't ruin my training."

Rotate your weekends. Strength session + Daylesford breakfast + Realisation Par browse + Holy Carrot dinner = the version of London life that protects both your training goals and your sanity.

Save it before you need it. Bookmark this for your next "I don't know where to go" Saturday.
